Who/What we are in Christ

Even though we are only into two months of this New Year, I am sure that it has been trying for number of people including me. So I thought we all needed to be encouraged. I was on my way to work and I heard myself saying out loud that if you were the only person on earth, I would have still come and died for you.

God would have told his son that you have to go for her, and just think Jesus agreed. I do not know anyone who would die for me. What about you? The word that came to me was appreciation, strange but I truly appreciate what the Father and Son did for me.

I want to encourage you with a reminder of who/what we are in Christ and I have made these scriptures personal.

• We are reigning in life by Jesus Christ (Romans 5:17)
• We are not looking at the things that are seen, but at the things that are not seen (2 Corinthians 4:18)
• We walk by faith and not by sight (2 Corinthians 5:7)
• We are casting down imaginations and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God (2 Corinthians 10:5)
• We are the righteousness of God in Christ (2 Corinthians 5:21)
• We are rooted and grounded in love, because Christ dwells with us (Ephesians 3:17)
• We are the workmanship of God, created in Christ Jesus for good works (Ephesians 2:10)
• We are partakers of God’s divine nature (2 Peter 1:4)
• We are prosperous in good health, because our soul prospers (3 John 2¬)
• We are being transformed by the renewing of our minds to prove the prefect will of God (Romans 8:2)
• We are healed by the stripes of Jesus Christ (2 Peter 2:24)
• We are more than a conqueror through Jesus Christ (Romans 8:37)
• We are the salt of the earth and light of the world (Matthews 5:13a, 14a)
• We are complete in Christ (Colossians 2:10)
• We are strong in the Lord and the power of his might (Ephesians 5:10)
• We are taking the shield of faith and quenching all the darts of the enemy (Ephesians 6:16)
• We are praying our desires and receiving them (Mark 11:24)
• We are like a tree planted by the rivers water everything we do will prosper (Psalm 1:3)
• We are the temple of the Holy Ghost (1 Corinthians 6:19)
• We have been given exceeding great and precious promises, and by them we partake of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust (2 Peter 1:4)
• We are led by the Spirit of God; therefore we are a son of God (Romans 8:14)
• We are not walking after the flesh, but after the Spirit (Romans 8:1)
• We are receiving all of our needs according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:19)
• We are casting all our cares upon Him, because we know that He cares for us (1 Peter 5:7)
• We are blessed with spiritual blessing in Christ Jesus (Ephesians 1:3)
• We are blessed when we come and blessed when we go out (Deuteronomy 28:6)
• We are heirs of God and joint-heirs with Christ (Romans 8:17)
• We are increasing abounding in love (1 Thessalonians 3:12)
• We are being made perfect in every good work to do God’s will (Hebrews 13:21)

These scriptures only apply to those who are in the family! You can be part of the family. Remember: Romans 10:9-10 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shall be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with mouth confession is made unto salvation

Have a bless day!

  2. Hi would you mind sharing which blog platform you’re using?
I’m planning to start my own blog soon but I’m having
a difficult time making a decision between BlogEngine/Wordpress/B2evolution
and Drupal. The reason I ask is because your design and style seems different then most blogs and I’m looking for something unique.
P.S Sorry for being off-topic but I had to ask!
