Have you ever lost something and tried to find it? Have you ever lost your way and tried to find your way back? This is where I am right now, I am asking myself how did I get here? At this stage of my life I had intended to be at certain point well I am not there. There were too many detours on my journey. How about you?
Remember, the Wizard of Oz Dorothy and all her friends. It appeared that they all had lost something. For example, the tin man wanted a heart; Dorothy wanted to find her way back home. They kept going around in circles looking for what they thought they had lost. The obstacles they kept running into were themselves. I am the truth and light and if you will acknowledge me in all yours ways I will direct your path.
When we got lost were we depending on someone else to direct us or were we following someone else’s dreams/desires and got lost in them? We have to learn how to follow our own journey. God has plan for our lives, an individual plan. You have a dream follow it.
The friends we met on our journey, did we leave our real friends behind and picked up and followed the superficial ones? A friend will stick closer than a brother. Are there some friends we need to go back for and others we really need to lose?
The good witch told Dorothy to follow the yellow brick road. There is a straight a narrow path we should have followed. This path would have taken us right to where we should be. Consider the old way and get back on the straight path it is narrow but it will keep us on the right journey.
Acceptance, the wizard of oz was a man who was struggling with himself. We are fearfully and wonderfully made. There is not another person out there like us. God made us to be different. Enjoy the difference and accept who you are.
The tin man was looking for something he already had a heart. We all have one it has been camouflage with all of life issues but it is there.
This is the lesson I am learning. It is never to late follow your journey, ok I got lost for minute, but the light is there waiting for me to get back on my journey; I have chosen to do just that. Ok, what about you, made a wrong turn, so what get back on the journey!
The light is still there.
