Ok, why condemnation? A co-worker of mine was telling me how she always felt condemned and most of the time she felt far removed from God. So let us talk about who is condemning whom!
What is condemnation, according to Dictionary.com, “it is defined as a state of being
condemned, act of condemning, or cause or reason for being condemned?” This would be how the world would define it: ACCUSATORY. However, for believers who live not as the world lives but by the word of God, the Bible states in Romans 8:1: There is now therefore no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh but after the Spirit. Simply putting it the Bible states that all believers (those that believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God) are no longer condemned.
Here is another reason why believers should never walk in or believe that they are condemned, for in the Bible it states: For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world but that the world through him might be saved. (John 3:17).
He that believeth on him is not condemned but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he had not believed in the name of the only begotten son of God. (John 3:18)
In the core, verse Romans 8:1 states that you are not condemned.
God is so wonderful that even if we sin, he has made a way for us to be forgiven. How are we forgiven? Biblically in 1 John 1:9 if we confess our sins, he is faithful
and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
Satan would have us to believe that we cannot be forgiven but remember he lies and that is not what God said in his word. Jesus died for our past, present, and future sins. Once you have asked for forgiveness, received it, and forgive yourself! God
states in Psalms 103:12, “As far as the east is from the west, so far hath he
removed our transgressions from us?”
God will always convict us never condemn. Once you have been convicted of a particular wrong, agree with God and ask for forgiveness, receive his forgiveness forgive yourself, and get back on the journey.
If you continue to walk in condemnation, it is not God it is either you or Satan.
What are going to believe now?
For those who do not have Christ Jesus in your life that can be changed with this confession, Romans 10:9-10 that if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shall be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness and with mouth confession is made unto salvation. It is just that simple.
My journey is difficult sometimes but well worth it.
